This little app shows the approximate state of the eclipse and what the recorder (Zoom H5) was picking up at the time. There is a dropdown "Bookmarks" box that will skip to the described event. Location was Mansfield, TX near a lake and wooded area.
The simulator is just a linear formula with the time of totality frozen. Simple, but effective for this use. All vanilla JS and canvas drawing, under 100 lines of JS.
Audio was processed in Reaper, for one thing I used a compressor on the low frequencies to try and squash wind noise a bit. Then ran through Audacity to normalize the audio.
